Wingvault Privacy Policy

1. What never happens

• The checker never uploads your file and never stores a copy. It reads the file in your browser and the report stays on your screen.
• No account, no sign-in, no payment. The full Wingvault app is paused and unreleased; if it ships, this page changes first.
• Your logbook is never sent to an AI provider, and the rendered report is excluded from analytics.
• No ads, no sale of data.

2. Data we touch

2.1 The checker

Data: the ForeFlight, LogTen or generic CSV file you pick, read by your browser.

Used to: run the check and show the report.

Kept: never; nothing leaves the page. After a real file parses, the site sends one counted event carrying the format category, a row-count range and whether an issue was found. Never the file, the filename, dates, routes, tail numbers, totals or row contents.

2.2 The waitlist

Data: the email address you type, when you joined, the page address, the referrer, your IP address and browser user agent, kept for consent records and abuse prevention.

Used to: send you a message if app early access opens.

Who: our email delivery service; Resend delivers the message.

Basis: your request.

Kept: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and hello@wingvault.app removes you at any time.

2.3 Support email

Data: what you write to hello@wingvault.app, and your address.

Used to: answer you.

Kept: 12 months after the thread closes.

2.4 This website

wingvault.app uses PostHog for page, file-check, sample-report and waitlist analytics. Events keep route and campaign tags. Session recording, autocapture, heatmaps, location lookup and identification are off. Hosting and security providers deliver the site.

3. Processors

• PostHog — website analytics (United States).
• Email delivery service — the waitlist, operated by WaveApp LLC (United States).
• Resend — email delivery for the waitlist message (United States).
• Hosting and security providers — delivery and protection of site and email traffic (United States).

Nobody else receives data from Wingvault. We do not sell data and we show no advertising.

4. Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK or another place with data-protection rights, you can ask us to show, correct, delete, restrict, export or stop using data about you. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority. Write to hello@wingvault.app; we answer within one month. We hold no record of you beyond a waitlist address or a support thread.

5. Children

Wingvault is a tool for pilots and is not directed at children. The only personal data we hold is an address someone chose to give us, and we delete it on request.

6. Changes

If a change would affect what data we touch, we update this page before it takes effect and say so in its change list.
